In a remote fishing village in Iceland, teenagers Pór and Kristján are best friends and find in their friendship the warmth they lack in their own families. Over the course of a turbulent summer, Pór falls in love with Beta, a local girl, while Kristján gradually discovers that she has feelings for his best friend.
