When you're weaving a long piece with two pick-up sticks, a heddle rod and string heddles can speed things up. Jane Patrick, Creative Director of Schacht Spindle Company, demonstrates how to make string heddles, attach them to warp threads in a pick-up pattern, and use a heddle rod as you weave. Now you can save time and effort as you weave complex pick-up patterns. This video is a sample of the School of Textile Art's online course, Rigid Heddle Weaving: Easy Pick-Up. Taught by Jane Patrick, this self-paced course is ideal for a weaver who is comfortable with plain weave on their rigid heddle. If you've woven a few projects on your rigid heddle loom, and want to take things to the next level, you're ready for this course. *Sign up for the course here:* _Subscribe for more fun tutorials, tips & tricks, and techniques!
