Energy efficient supercomputer with Intel Xeon Phi _RSC Tornado SUSU_ (Success Story12)

RSC Tornado SUSU supercomputer is Europe’s first university computing system equipped with the latest Intel® Xeon Phi™ coprocessors. Usage of the this energy efficient supercomputer with the total peak performance of 236.8 TFLOPS (’2012 based data) based on Intel® Xeon® processors and with latest Intel® Xeon Phi™ coprocessors allow us to perform new larger-scale scientific research and to solve a wide range of practical social and economic tasks to modernize the economy of both the Ural region and the whole country. In addition the record-level energy efficiency of RSC Tornado based solution resulted in 50% cost reduction for power consumption during last 3.5 years
