Five Nights at Freddy's is one of the biggest horror franchises in the video game industry, and its film debut couldn't have gone much better. The movie was a massive hit, as Five Nights at Freddy's broke box office records and made a huge profit, proving that it could transition from the world of gaming onto the big screen. Despite this, its upcoming sequel will have extra competition with the announcement of a new horror film. Creating fresh concepts in the horror industry can be difficult, but Five Nights at Freddy's managed to introduce a genuinely unique idea. Turning seemingly innocent children's mascots into killer animatronics made the franchise feel incredibly unique and launched a plethora of successful games. However, despite only making its big screen debut last year, it already seems like the FNAF sequel has a potential rival.
