Eccentric turning enables the machining of eccentric parts of a workpiece in turning operation (e.g. the clearance of a crankpin of a crankshaft). This is achieved by interpolating the main drive and the X1 or Y1 axis. The WFL cycles can be used for either turning or milling. The advantage of eccentric turning in a MILLTURN is the saving of eccentric collets or expensive special clamping devices as well as the minimisation of the set-up effort.
