The Referring IP report will show you every IP address associated with a website's backlinks. From this information, you will be able to determine how many backlinks originate from the same IP address and how many originate from other countries. A diverse distribution of backlinks is beneficial for SEO, and you can use this report to see which countries your site receives the most links from and where it is most popular. The IPs in the table are sorted by the number of domains on each IP (a single IP can host multiple websites if they are all hosted on the same server), and they are ranked by the number of backlinks to the site. Can also be sorted, such as by first and last seen. One reason to check the referring IP of a domain is to check for evidence of black-hat SEO practices. If you see a single IP address broadcasting an unusually large number of backlinks from different domains, this may indicate the presence of a private blog network, link network, or other fake link schemes.
