On 29 March, Spider-Man himself swung into Singapore to shut down the lights of the iconic Singapore skyline for an hour from to . A crowd of almost 9000 people gathered at the Floating Platform @ Marina Bay to witness the trademark Earth Hour Lights Off moment, as Spider-man pushed the button to plunge the Marina Bay skyline into darkness.
