The letterbox movie technique (pan and scan a wide screen movie to make it fit into a more squared television screen)

We're proud of this piece Michael Koepenick edited with writer/producer Jeanne Franz for TCM. Ironic that this piece was done back before TCM was broadcasting in HD so it's in 4:3 ratio format, but there was a real need to explain what letterbox was back then. It's a very effective presentation in understanding the difference between HD and SD formats and has had over 19,000 views on our original Youtube posting from years ago.
