Stunning steel cantilever rail bridge over the Forth. Nearly long this bridge, opened in 1890, is still the primary railway bridge serving Fife and the East coast. It spans the Forth from the beautiful town of South Queensferry to North Queensferry. You can enjoy viewing this iconic bridge and its 2 younger siblings, the Forth Road Bridge and its replacement The Queensferry Crossing bridge. The cantilever railway bridge was built across the Firth of Forth at Queensferry, 14km west of Edinburgh. It still continues to remain a significant and admirable engineering structure of the Victorian era.
