Salt mine. Meadow Bank salt mine, Cheshire. M/S pit head. L/S exterior of the mine. L/S interior, it is cavernous and dark. M/S moving railway truck. M/S two men with drill, C/U drill boring. M/S as the man stops drilling, another approaches the hole with stick dynamite and a pole. C/U as he inserts the explosive. C/U man's face, then M/S as he walks away. M/S as man carries flex, turns, and cups hands round mouth. M/S as men leave work and walk to shelter. C/U as man adjusts ignition mechanism, lifts plunger and detonates.
