And compared to several younger demos it really turned out good and the music is just incredible from there on. Crazy what these guys managed to come up with all the way back then, because this is a rough mix of everything that you love in bands such as WARLORD, MALICE, RIOT, JAG PANZER and JUDAS PRIEST. Simple, but never too simple Rockers with extremely strong choruses, great melodies and insanely good harmony leads. Especially the fantastic guitars of opener “Fast Get Away“ are my thing, this song could have been a show-piece on EMERALD's “Armed For Battle“, great track! “Stranded All Alone“ with its cool groove caters to all fans from BREAKER to HERETIC and in addition to these incomparable guitars also uses this small keyboard melody. “Holocaust“ is not a SAVATAGE cover version, but it is exactly that band I feel reminded of, same for SHOK PARIS. I would also like to point out “Man On The Moon“ with its mean guitar parts that sound like a spider edging in on its prey. Canadian BLACK KNIGHT could not have done this hymn any better. As you can see, I can come up with a lot of combos for comparisons, just view this album as an excellent opportunity to complete your collection and always keep in mind that the songs were recorded in 1983. But one thing is for sure: RAT ATTACK had incredible potential, a pity that they gave up so early.
