Twenty people have been rescued from an ice floe in Lake Erie. Emergency services responded to an initial report of more than 20 people on an ice floe a half-mile off shore near Catawba Island, Ohio, at around on Monday 22 January. Thirteen people were rescued by the Coast Guard and the Put-in-Bay Fire Department. Seven people managed to get themselves to safety via their own airboat.
