I know. I know. I know. *I know* that “I didn't down stroke the whole thing bruh“. I know. I'm a player that has always favored economy of movement and this song forces you to play like a caveman, so it is not exactly my comfort zone. I know. What's interesting though - on the final day of filming, during our final take, I had an epiphany out of nowhere. In my exhausted state from filming this long frickin song over and over, I had the idea to leverage the weight of my arm in a way that allows me to get through the entire song only downstroking by allowing my hand to “bounce“ off the bridge while palm muting. Unfortunately, I really did not want to retake all 8 shots incorporating this technique - so we utilized that clip as much as we could. I am now much better at playing like a caveman.
