At least 54 killed and scores wounded as gunmen attack Abyei village

Gunmen attacked a village in the oil-rich region of Abyei, which is located in a territory claimed by both Sudan and South Sudan. The assault left at least 54 people dead, including 2 UN peacekeepers, and wounded 64 more.
