The story behind Guy Pratt's Foxgear Knee Trembler signature tremolo: We met Guy on early 2018 to let him test the Echosex Baby, and he was just blown away by it. While testing it to make One Of These Days, he said “do we have a tremolo?”. This sounded like a challenge for us. So we started researching, and talking with famous engineers who has worked at Abbey Road during the recording sessions of PF's Meddle album in 1971 like John Leckie, and he explained that at that time, there was not that much tremolo pedals in the studio, so they found that particular sound putting an LFO into the side chain of a compressor, and this gave that unique and fierce tremolo effect sounding like an helicopter. Here’s the result, Knee Trembler and Echosex Baby on stage with Guy Pratt on Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets band. (all the guys in the band except Nick uses some Foxgear/Gurus stuff.)
