Later, in 2019, the Australian citizen was arrested after his diplomatic status was revoked. He is still held at Belmarsh Prison in southeast London. His wife Stella Assange hopes her husband will be released soon. She recently contended, ’Julian’s life is in the hands of the Australian government’ after Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said there was ’nothing to be served’ by keeping Assange locked up.
