If you’re a fan of Rugby you will have heard of the New Zealand All Blacks and their emblem, the Silver Fern. Black is a good colour for murky water and a bit of flash is good for sunny days. Since our local river runs murky in the early season I figured a black fly with some flash would work well, The guinea on the fly reminds me a bit of the silver fern emblem. It’s tied shrimp style so I did it on a double, but tie it on a single hook if you prefer.
