B-52 Shot Down During Linebacker II in Vietnam

This B-52 were shot down in December 1972 By the PAVN Air defense during the Operation Linebacker II Also know like “Bombing Christmas“ In nine days 16 B-52 were down and about other 20 more were damaged. During Linebacker II the American Killed between 1600 - 2400 Vietnamese civilian and caused major damage in Hanoi. All the captured U.S Pilot were release after the Paris Peace Accord in 1973.
