Animation loop of compositional generative fractal art discovered using Evolvotron on Ubuntu Linux. Original 4k stills available at Evolvotron video loops are rendered from a “function“ which is composed from any combination of dozens of interesting pattern generators, which makes it a unique type of compositional art. Most of these pattern combinations or combinators express fractal structures, which makes most of the art posted here fractal in nature. They are also abstract, as none of the component patterns are realistic in nature. All videos are discoveries rather than creations, at least so far. The space of Evolvotron “functions“ and the images or videos that they specify is a high-dimensional infinite universe of abstract art, and the Evolvotron browser supports the artist's exploration of this infinite variety.
