Ever wondered which Eurovision 2024 entries spend the most time singing the title? Is it the songs that repeat the title many many times or the slow ballads that have long titles and take time singing it? Well, here's the answer. DECISIONS TO COUNT/NOT COUNT SOME LYRICS: In general I tried to include as many as possible to make it more interesting. For example I counted “One Milkali“ (Australia) although in the full title there is also “One Blood“. In the song they sing “One Milkali-la“, but of course “la“ is not counted, since it's not part of the title. In the case of “Liar“ (Cyprus), there were multiple versions. Especially the line “You liar, liar, liar, liar Yeah, yeah, yeah“ / “You lie-ie-ie-ie, yeah yeah yeah“. The second version is from the official Spotify release, so I could not count that part (lie/liar - not the same). Poland's “The Tower“ is an example of counting the long notes singing the title as well. The backing vocals sing “The toweeeeeeer“ while Luna comes in “I'm the one who built the tower“. Since the backing vocal line didn't finish before Luna reaches the title, there is no cut. The backing vocal line has to be loud and clear enough tho. Bare in mind, it's all quite subjective and can be intepreted in multiple ways. This is just my take and for a bit of fun :DD ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Follow me on Instagram!
