The head of the US delegation to Taiwan, Michael McCaul, has confirmed a $2 billion military aid package for Taiwan to provide the island with modern weapons, while Ukraine gets old supplies. The visit took place on the heels of two-days of Chinese drills near the island. While China hasn't ruled out the use of force in the conflict, it has emphasized that it wants a peaceful solution to the issue. We hear from Canadian journalist Alex Reportefy who says that a peaceful option isn't on the table, since Washington is using Taiwan as a proxy against its geopolitical rival – China.
