In 2019 they released their debut album 'Union', a 53 minute journey that explores the relationships we share as people and the emotional challenges that come with them. The album received rave reviews through the underground progressive communities on a global scale, featured in PROG magazine and has since seen the band step up from a small bedroom collaboration between vocalist Andy Robison and guitarist Phil Monro to a full live band. Though the foundation for their music relies on the heavy sound associated with metal music, the influences from electronic and pop music cannot be ignored. Each track is stacked with huge melodies and hooks that draw you deeper into the lush wall-of-sound production that has been meticulously crafted throughout the 3 years of the album's creation. Ihlo are unafraid to pull you into their deceptively groovy sound. With influences ranging from progressive staples such as Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Devin Townsend and TesseracT, they have the sharp modern metal edge necessary to stand out amongst the crowd. Ihlo are a fresh and exciting sound in the scene that are not to be missed. Now in the tail end of 2020, they are set to release a small, yet highly charged live EP release from the confines of lockdown life. Entitled 'In Stasis', this 22 minute audio/video EP features sounds from their acclaimed debut album, as well as new pieces never before heard from upcoming work.
