How to crochet your own squashed frog doorstop. Crochet plushie, easy amigurumi 🤔 See below for stitch count at end of rounds 🤓 This tutorial teaches you, step by step, how to crochet your own squashed frog door stopper. I also teach you how to adapt the pattern to fit the round heavy object you are using. PDF version available at my Etsy store: If you find this tutorial useful please consider subscribing and giving a thumbs up to help my channel grow 😁 Notes: crochet in continuous spiral rounds I'm sorry, I made a mistake in editing and left out round 22 in the head part. Round 22 is one Sc in each stitch. Also, please use 8 Sc in each MR for the head, body and mouth. (I didn't realise I had a weird way of counting the 2nd round. At the end of the second round you need 12 sts. You learn a lot using round markers 🤣) Please use something to mark your rounds! It eliminates a lot of possible errors. Crochet stitches used in this pattern are single crochet (sc), double crochet (dc), foundation double crochet (Fdc), slip stitch (sl st), magic ring (MR) and increase (inc) and decrease (dec) stitches. I really hope you enjoy making your own squashed frog doorstop and I hope it makes you giggle every time you see it 🐸 😂 ⭐️❤️‍🩹🐸 Stitch count at end of round: 🐸❤️‍🩹⭐️ Small Eyes: R1. 8 sts, R2. 12 sts, R3-5. 16 sts Large eyes: R1. 10 sts, R2. 15 sts, R3-6. 20 sts Mouth: R1. 8 sts, R2. 12 sts, R3. 16 sts, R4. 24 sts, R5. 32 sts, R6&7. 40 sts, R8. 46 sts, R9. 56 sts Frog body: R1. 8 sts, R2. 12 sts, R3. 16 sts, R4&5. 24 sts, R6&7. 36 sts, R8&9. 48 sts, R10-12. 56 sts, (attach legs R13), R13-26. 67 sts, R27-29. 56 sts, R30&31. 45 sts, R32&33. 36 sts, R34&35. 24 sts, R36. 16 sts, R37. 11 sts, R38. 7 sts Frog Head: R1. 8 sts, R2 12 sts, R3. 16 sts, R4&5. 24 sts, R6&7. 30 sts, R9&10. 40 sts, R11-14. 45 sts, R15-17. 40 sts, (join mouth in R16&17), R18. 34 sts, R19, 29 sts, R20. 27 sts, R21&22. 23 sts, R23&24. 17 sts, R25. 12 sts (continue neck from here) Neck: R1&2 12 sts, R3&4 14 sts, R5&6. 16 sts, R7&8. 18 sts, (attach arms in R7) R9&10. 20 sts, R11&12. 22 sts, R13&14. 24 sts, R15&16. 26 sts, R17&18. 28 sts, R19&20. 30 sts, R21&22. 32 sts, R23 34 sts Chapters 0:00 Meet our Frog 2:58 How to make the legs 9:37 How to make the tongue 10:49 How to make the eyes (2 size options) 17:35 How to make the mouth 25:09 How to make the frog body 44:39 How to make the head and neck 1:01:14 How to curl tongue and sew on eyes This frog doorstop would make a fun prank gift for husbands, dads, coworkers, adult kids, teens, Father's day, Grandparents, or anyone who enjoys a joke. It also makes an interesting decor item. A great conversation starter. 😂 He's been called “road-kill frog“ and “splat frog“. Comment your name suggestions. 🤣 This is an eco friendly, sustainable project if you follow the recommendations and use a ball from your local recycle center. 🌱 You can also fill it with smooth stones, beads, coins, etc, (perhaps in a sock or stocking and with a layer of fibrefill around to help smooth out the bumps, but the round shape won't be as neat as a solid ball.
