The BASF Forward AM team 3D-printed 50 pairs of sneakers using our Ultrasint® TPU powder on both HSS and SLS technologies - which they got to wear during the trade show Formnext in Frankfurt. Leveraging our expertise in FEA-Simulation (Ultrasim®) of lattice structures and our own material models, the team created a gradient lattice structure that could fulfill comfort and stability throughout the shoe’s midsole. The finishing touch was our flexible coating which provided enhanced durability and aesthetic
