M/S as Prince Edward, the Prince of Wales, walks down a line of soldiers followed by other military personnel. M/S as he walks along with the mayor and other dignitaries and military figures. Intertitle - '. (HRH) at wonderful new power station at Nechells.' People walk through and shake his hand, he pushes a lever attached to a dial. Intertitle - 'At corner of Broad Street, he laid foundation stone of the Hall of Memory.' Big crowds cheer as the party walks through, the camera pans across the site and crowd. M/S of the stone being winched into place on a pulley, the Prince knocks the corners with a small hammer and gives a speech to the people. Intertitle - 'At Handsworth Park.'
