So here is my story of paper dyeing 📜 After I had dyed paper quite spontaneously with mangosteen tea I realized I had some other colourful stuff at hand! My first bunch of paper was just simple thin paper for printing, so I wanted to try with some more fine beautiful paper. I had for this time handmade paper from Nepal I could take from album gifted to me by a special friend last year and I took a couple of sheets from small album gifted by another special friend ~ simple but more thick creamy paper ~ and again the rest was just simple printing paper. Next time I want to get Balinese handmade paper ~ I know the shop where to buy it.. I used again magosteen skin, secang tea ~ some very bright orangy-red wood or bark which makes mindblowing red-pink drink! And I had some water from black rice which was soaking overnight.. I did main process in the middle of bright day which maybe was not so good for filming because part of my terrace was in shadow and another part in bright sunshine, though maybe it even adds some psychedelic effect to the view of process 😅 but it was actually good time for drying all in sunshine at once! And I could see almost ready result the same day and I show it in the beginning of the video. Then closer to the evening I dyed some bonus papers with leftovers of everything.. It was a bit messy spontaneous process ~ just to experiment. I will keep some samples to see how long the colour can last, but I don't expect much permanence or lightfastness from it. I did it mostly for fun:-) to enjoy the process and was really amazed by result! The music here is long improvisation track ~ Laboratory of sound, movement, word ~ Fireflower 🌸🔥🏵 It was played as sountrack for Soviet sci-fi diafilm show on Cosmonautics day 💫 There were many participants and if you're curious to know more you can find the list on event page ~ I was playing chimes and singing bowls 🎐 I was playing a lot in those times in many experimental, improvisational projects ~ we were playing sound for diafilm shows, butoh dance and a lot more. It was mostly organized by virtuous violin player and genius experimental musician Antonina Kikimota, we even got Kuryokhin award for one of those projects! ✨🏆✨ And another track I added here was also played on Cosmonautics night in Izaliata's turquoise room ~ Ancient Forest Songs ~ Climbing Transparent Skyway ✨ My project in which Kikimota also took part ~ it was actually night of very experimental sound! For more of my hyperspatial experimental sound check ~ ✨
