July 12, 2011, hundreds of cars arrived in Aleppo coming from Lattakia, including popular delegations that came to express their gratitude to the people of Aleppo who stood against the pressure and all attempts of incitement and sedition, denouncing foreign interference in Syrian internal affairs, while the convoy was greeted by large crowds of Aleppians. The car convoy roamed the city’s streets with cheers saluting the people of Aleppo who proved their loyalty and courage against incitement, and supported President Bashar al-Assad and the reform process. Later they stopped in front of the Russian consulate where the participants thanked Russia for standing by the legitimate Syrian rights, praising its position rejecting the UN resolutions aimed at misleading the international community and distorting the facts.
