Viktor Tsoi, one of the most famous and loved Soviet musicians and songwriters, died on August 15th, 1990, thirty four years ago today, as a result of a horrific car accident. “Blood Type” is one of his most well-known songs. The original audio was replaced with a rare recording of Viktor Tsoi singing in English, and the video was adjusted to bring the audio and video tracks as close as possible. The video itself is made up of a collection of concert shots as well as cuts from the iconic movie “Игла“ (“Needle”), in which Viktor Tsoi played the leading role of a man trying to rescue his drug-addicted girlfriend. The opening sequence in the snow-covered park is actually the very last scene of the movie.
