This is the first recorded human footprint. It's 3.7 million years old. But it's not for another million years that we find the first shoe. That means our ancestors were walking, running and hunting barefoot for millions of years. Most indigenous shoemaking was barefoot shoemaking. Indigenous people understand the importance of respecting nature — from the way we use her resources to letting feet do their thing. Scientists estimate that erosion and contact with wildlife and humans means the Engaro Sero footsteps could disappear within 50 years. We have committed to joining geologists and the local community to protect the site. Find out more: #Vivobarefoot #Footsteps #indigenouswisdom #VivoFilm #Conservation #Barefoot
