US State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller justified his country’s boycott of Nagasaki memorial event in support of Israel. This was after officials in Nagasaki decided to not invite Israeli ambassador for the event scheduled for 9 August. Both America and United Kingdom decided to also not attend the event in solidarity of Israel.
