Goodbye Kansas Studios was thrilled to create the intro-cinematic for HELLDIVERS 2 and pleased to bring you this cinematic breakdown to show all the work that went into this project by our incredible team alongside our friends, Arrowhead Studios. 🔥 Our primary objective for HELLDIVERS 2 was to meticulously design an introductory #cinematic experience that drew inspiration from the iconic style of American military recruitment commercials with a charismatic spokesperson that weaved seamless humour and motivational vigour into the narrative without tipping into excessive exaggeration. Leveraging the power of #UnrealEngine became an integral part of our pre-production process and workflow, giving us a sophisticated and visually immersive environment. Its robust features allowed us to establish tangible layouts while working with storyboards. The real-time rendering capabilities seamlessly brought scenes to life during the motion capture shoot at the Goodbye Kansas Headquarters in Stockholm, leaving room for creative optimisation.
