Elektron Rytm VS Machinedrum - modular synth, or groovebox

Since before the Elektron Analog Rytm MK1 was announced, I was thinking to get a Machinedrum UW , I had borrowed one for a while and it spurred me to get an Octatrack, which has been very useful and inspiring, but I always missed what the Machinedrum UW had to offer. As I watched the used prices of the Analog Rytm MK1 plummet with the release of the new MKII, it re-kindled my desire for an inspiring drum machine - but as I thought more deeply about it I kept circling back to the conclusion the Machinedrum U
