JUST IN:JUST IN: Watch the stunning sea launch of CERES-1 rocket lift off from a mobile sea-launch platform in the waters off the coast of East China's Shandong province on Thursday , Aug 29, sending 6 satellites into the orbit. China on Thursday sent a sea-launched commercial rocket CERES-1 into space from the waters surrounding east China's Shandong Province, placing six satellites into planned orbit. It was the 15th flight mission of the CERES-1 rocket series. Thursday's launch is the 3rd sealaunch mission for the Beijing-based private firm Galactic Energy. CERES-1 is currently the only commercial rocket type in China that can be launched from the land and the sea.
