Dream Flight Alula Evo Seaside Slope Soaring

It's always fun to just run a camera while flying because you just never know what you are going to catch. On this day the wind was 15mph and the seagulls were getting into it. After launching into a relatively bird free sky, the glider was quickly joined by dozens of seagulls who were cruising the coastline and thermalling at 1000ft . There is something very pure and gratifying about flying this glider. For starters, it does not look like a plane, so the tendency is to fly it like a bird and see just how close you can come to “being the bird“. I have lost track of how many people have stopped to admit their shock that the “unusual“ bird in the sky they have been watching is actually being controlled by me.
