Dušan Hanák 27. 4. 1938 Bratislava - Slovak Film Director And Screenwriter One of the leading personalities of Slovak cinema, Dušan Hanák graduated in directing from the Famu Film and TV Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. From 1965 on, he worked as a director at the Short Film Studios in Bratislava where he made Artists (1965), Learning (1965), A Call Into Silence (1965), Old Shatterhand Came to See Us (1966), Mass (1967), Leaving a Trace (TV, 1970), and A Day of Joy (TV, 1972).
