Here is the original 1st ever issue by Golden Earring of `Seven Tears`. Released in 1971 in the Netherlands on the Red Polydor label (2344 008) it came in a gatefold sleeve with black & white picture booklet attached to the inside. Not released at the time in the USA or the UK, in fact Golden Earring went undiscovered until their hit `Radar Love` in 1973 bought them international attention. This was a great shame as this the album contains `She Flies on Strange Wings` which to my ears is worth the collectors price on it`s own! So hard to find a Mint copy due to the inner booklet getting easily creased which is why a Mint copy sold for £155 in 2012. Original Dutch copies in excellent condition though can still be found for a more reasonable price. Why not subscribe as I upload rarities regularly! Side 1 1. Silver Ships 0:00 2. The Road Swallowed Her Name 5:40 3. Hope 9:49 4. Don`t Worry 14:36 Side 2 1. She Flies On Strange Wings 17:58 2. This Is The Other Side Of Life 25:21 3. You`re Better Off Free 28:42 Its amazing how so many rock fans around the world have no idea just how big this band was. Everyone knows their monster hit “Radar Love,” which was released in 1973. However since their formation in 1961, the band has released over twenty five studio albums, eight live albums and seventy four singles. In their native country of the Netherlands the band has enjoyed five number one singles and seven number one albums. In the early days the band was called The Golden Ear-rings but in 1969 they dropped the plural and changed the name to just Golden Earring.
