The speed of the Taliban advance caught most western leaders by surprise - the militants took control of most of Afghanistan in a matter of days. With Afghanistan looking set to be ruled by the Taliban, world leaders are trying to work out how to respond. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said Afghanistan must not be allowed to become a breeding ground for terrorists, but the Taliban are the ones holding all the cards.
