South Fork of The American River Inflatable Kayak Run

This is four bozos with rented inflatable kayaks shredding the rapids of the South Fork gorge run, Saturday August 24th, 2013. If we had a dollar for every time a concerned on-looker asked us if we knew the river ahead... we'd have like, at least six dollars. Flow was approximately 1,600 cfs. Peluso, AKA Big Bird, was named captain of the South Fork Swim Team, with four unplanned excursions from the warm safety of his kayak. Seaman Matt Harvey got the silver medal with two swims. Rapids in the video include Barking Dog, Fowlers Rock, Upper Haystacks Canyon, Lost Hat, Satan's Cesspool, Son of Satan's, Hospital Bar and Surprise.
