Get it here together with the remastered original version and bonus tracks at Tobias' official Bandcamp page: Back in the 2020, I was contacted by Swedish listener Stefan and he asked me about a song he had been searching for that was not available in proper quality. After some research, he had found some information about the artist but asked me if I could help him because I was from Germany and the artist was as well. So, I got in touch with the Tobias, the original artist, creator of the “Misfit(s) of Science“ project, and producer of the song and suggested he should release the song as there was some international interest in it. I also offered to remix the track to gain some more attention for his music. Then, I also contacted a famous remixer in the Italo Disco scene who liked the track and a potential b-side as much as I did and agreed to produce a remix. Now, after waiting for his remix for more than 3,5 years and some reminders, we still haven't received anything from him, something interesting has happened: In the meantime, the song became a so-called “lostwave track“ and more and more people were looking for it. A snippet of it had been posted on YouTube, calling it “I SAW THIS GIRL“ and people were asking where to find a full version in proper quality. But actually the song is called “Can't touch you now“, so people couldn't find any information about it. That's why Tobias has now decided to release the original version including some remasters and my remix on his Bandcamp page: So, my remix might have already been started in 2020 but finally, it's here for you to enjoy. It's like the original was thrown into a pot with elements of a-ha and Sam Fox plus some Amiga/C64 demo scene elements and the usual Mirko Hirsch feeling. Written, Composed and Vocals by Tobias Winkler Additional Composing & Remix Production by Mirko Hirsch And always remember to keep the fire of 80s style music burning!
