Metal cover of “Leshy“ from Cult of the Lamb. Listen on Spotify: Cult of the Lamb by @MassiveMonster was by far my favorite creepy-cute game of 2022. Everything about it is ridiculously charming, and that extends to the brilliant soundtrack written by @RiverBoyBeats. The acoustic guitar opening to Leshy's boss fight theme immediately inspired me to riff off of it, so I had to give this one a try. While I was jamming the track on my 7 string before recording, for some reason I always ended up transitioning into the main (heavy) verse riff from “Selves We Cannot Forgive“ by Black Crown Initiate. Not only is there a thematic link between the cult-y name of this band and this game, I also realized that both are written in the A Phrygian (-dominant) scale. Hence why my brain smushed them together. So I went with that and extended this track with a B part that wasn't originally there, heavily inspired by Selves We Cannot
