This ambient guitar Meditation soundscape is performed without a looper. All the loops are made by 4 different delays – Chase Bliss Audio Blooper (in delay mode, long loop time), Hologram Microcosm (Mosaic #1 textural preset), Strymon Volante (maximum time), Strymon Timeline (dTape, maximum time). Delays might be more preferable for some reasons than most of the loopers due to several important features: 1) no gap between loop’s tail and start, 2) advanced fading out settings, 3) character: like old tape wear, sound degradation, modulations, pitch shifting effects . One should be careful with feedbacks – it is very easy to create a mess of what you play. I used a decent amount of feedback in each delay this time, but I also used the maximum delay time available for most Volante and Timeline. That gave me more air and long degrading loops that slowly faded away.
