Building a Water Weir/Gate for my fruit trees

Here is my solution for allowing water to move freely from one fruit tree 'well' to another in a semi controlled fashion. My ultimate goal from this project is to allow rainwater from my micro swale to flow into my fruit trees without damaging or eroding the soil.
