Edward’s stunning Eruption solo- from the Pasadena, Cal. show on 12-20-77 The first few chords of Eruption, are taken from the Cactus song “Let Me Swim“. In further inspiration from Cactus: the double bass “Boogie Drums“ used in such numbers as “I’m The One“ “Bottoms Up“ “The Full Bug“ are a dead ringer for the drums on “Parchman Farm“ by Cactus in 1970 (Carmine Appice). Cactus was a great relatively unknown band, and there are also some similar vocal stylings between Roth and Rusty Day! You could also say that Jim McCarty was quite the hotshot guitarist~
