*Śrī Devi Mahatmyam* also known as *Śrī Durgā Saptaśatī* _(as per Kātyāyanī Tantra – Southern Version)_ Complete Chanting by *Dr. Giridharan. U.R.* Chanting of the most sacred Hymn Śrī Devī Māhātmyam or Śrī Durgā Saptaśatī on all days, and especially during the holy season of Navarātri, is felicitous in appeasing the Supreme Goddess, Śrī Durgā Bhagavati. But since this long Hymn is in Sanskrit, many may find it challenging to articulate the verses correctly. Probably, it is due to this reason that a mention is made in the twelfth chapter of Śrī Devī Māhātmyam as the utterance of the Supreme Goddess Herself that a mere *“listening“* to the chant of this Hymn is more than adequate to earn Her blessings. To quote verses 23 and 24 of the Twelfth Chapter: _“śrutam harati pāpāni tathārogyam prayacchati_ _rakṣām karoti bhūtebhyo janmanām kīrtanam mama_ _yuddheṣu caritam yan me duṣṭa daitya nibarhaṇam_ _tasmin śrute vairikṛtam bhayam pumsām na jāyate“_ - meaning, “Listening to this Devī Māhātmyam, with the narratives of my manifestations, destroys all sins and ensures a life free of illness and protection against evil spirits and black magic.“ “Listening to the episodes of wars waged by me to destroy the malevolent demons guarantees extinction of fear from internal as well as external enemies.“ ✥✥✥ Therefore, for the benefit of devotees of the Mother Goddess, the above video has been uploaded, chanting the entire 700 Mantra-s of Śrī Devī Māhātmyam as per the method prescribed in the Kātyāyanī Tantra, with all the preliminary parts like Siddhakuñjikā Stotram, Kavacam, Argaḷam, Kīlakam, Rātrisūktam and the concluding parts like Devisūktam, and the three Rahasya-s together with certain important Nyāsa-s. To facilitate the reading of the verses while listening to the chanting, the lyrics of the Hymn are included in the video in transliterated *English script.* There are 700 Mantra-s in this Saptaśatī Stotra and at the end of each chapter the count of Mantra-s in that particular chapter is shown. In the chanting a small Veena string sound can also be heard to identify the Mantra part of the Śloka-s. A masterly English translation of the meaning of the entire Hymn by my friend *Sri. V.P. Iswardas* is also accessible by clicking the following link: 👇 The *Timestamp* of the hymns and chapters in the above video is also provided below, enabling listening of any portion of one's choice. 0:00:00 – Pūrvāṅgam 0:01:33 – Siddhakuñjikā Stotram 0:04:29 – Kavacam 0:12:16 – Argala Stotram 0:15:41 – Kīlaka Stotram 0:18:00 – Nandajādi Nyāsa 0:18:52 – Rātri Sūktam 0:21:12 – Saptaśatī Mālāmantra Nyāsa 0:22:57 – Caṇḍī Pañjākṣaramantra Nyāsa 0:23:13 – Cakra Nyasa 0:24:30 – 1st Chapter 0:38:10 – 2nd Chapter 0:49:54 – 3rd Chapter 0:57:12 – 4th Chapter 1:05:51 – 5th Chapter 1:23:42 – 6th Chapter 1:27:26 – 7th Chapter 1:31:48 – 8th Chapter 1:41:28 – 9th Chapter 1:48:00 – 10th Chapter 1:53:02 – 11th Chapter 2:02:08 – 12th Chapter 2:08:46 – 13th Chapter 2:12:55 – Devī Sūktam 2:17:55 – Pradhānikam Rahasyam 2:23:11 – Vaikṛtikam Rahasyam 2:29:34 – Mūrti Rahasyam 2:33:11 – Uttara Nyāsa-s 2:36:11 – Aparādha Kṣamāpaṇa Prārthanā ஸ்ரீ துர்கா ஸப்தஶதி - தமிழ் லிபியில் வாசிக்க கீழே கொடுத்துள்ள லிங்கில் க்ளிக் செய்யவும். 👇 Copyright @ .
