Dota 2 is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game developed and published by Valve Corporation. It is a sequel to the original Defense of the Ancients (DotA) mod for Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and its expansion pack, The Frozen Throne. Dota 2 retains the core gameplay mechanics of its predecessor while adding new features, improved graphics, and a robust competitive environment.
