Storm Ciaran crossed germany yesterday and I visited two airports to film a few planes land during these stormy conditions. A 50 years old (!!) AN12 was expected at Geilenkirchen yesterday and I always wanted to film such a classic propeller plane during crosswind conditions. Yesterday I got the chance to do it and I am quite happy with the result. Cavok is a company which operates 6 AN12 aircrafts and the unique orange livery on the airplane looks quite amazing. The classic plane operated a cargo flight from Athens to Geilenkirchen and departed just 45 minutes later to Liege in Belgium. Before I drove to Geilenkirchen I filmed some crosswind landings at Düsseldorf. The A330 Neo in the new condor livery was expected and I tried to film it. In the morning, when it was still dark Düsseldorf Airport had to be closed and multiple planes diverted to nearby airports like an Etihad B787 and a Qatar B787. The Qatar aircraft returned in this video and the Etihad aircraft stayed at Frankfurt over night. Thanks for watching, new videos every tuesday and friday. Airports: Geilenkirchen (GKE/ETNG), Düsseldorf (DUS/EDDL)
