This is a pre-final piece from 'A Very Quiet Concert' that I and Lida gave back in Nov 1998. I wrote the original french words for a melody that had come to me from I can't recall where... if not from Slades, - so conceivably it is not mine. Anyway, before singing - this starts - I told Lida, in Russian, an genuine story of how Alfred Nobel left Henri Poincare without Nobel Prize that this gentleman would surely have won otherwise, for his great findings in maths and mechanics. Sorry to be unable to place here any English equivalent of my tale and our dialog that followed :) Ha, I've found out this morning (9 Oct 2011), on a very special search, that the tune does belong to Slade, as it is 'I DON'T MIND' from their 1972 album 'Slayed?'
