BLOOMINGTON, IN – Since 2010, an all volunteer effort by the Bloomington Trashion Committee and Discardia, a project of the Center for Sustainable Living, has produced the Annual Trashion / Refashion Runway Show at Bloomington’s Buskirk-Chumley Theater. The April 5th 2020 show was cancelled due to the Covid19 pandemic. The committee looked for alternative ways to present the work of the 2020 Trashion designers and decided to produce this music video. This ten minute video features 13 Trashion designs and was shot at Bloomington’s Woolery Mill. The video was choreographed and directed by Celina Jaffe with music by Janiece Jaffe. Trashion is about community, creativity, sustainability and awareness. In light of the Covid pandemic, the approach artistically this year was to continue building on all of these aspects with a new medium, screendance.
