This is another combat guide for the eternal night. It is more orientated towards each category of elements in the game. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments below. Electricity Electric Whirlwind Magic Expenditure Reduction -Holding the button while performing electric whirlwind will expend a lot of magic but if you use this ability by tapping the button repeatedly, less magic will be expended. Electric Whirlwind Cancel -You can quickly cancel out of electric whirlwind by pressing the jump button. Not only is this a great way to conserve magic, it also provides an opportunity to quickly jump into a locked air combo, given that the enemy is knocked into the air. Massive Damage With Electric Whirlwind -You can deal a lot of damage to an enemy with electric whirlwind by activating dragon time and using the magic expenditure reduction method. Dragon time with this ability seems to maximize damage output while also reducing magic expenditure even more. Earth Quicker Earth Pound -Jumping before using earth pound will make it proceed faster. It will take slightly longer for earth pound to proceed if you do not jump, making Spyro more vulnerable to enemy attack. DONE Triple Air Combo Sequence, Using Earth Pound As An Intermediate -Start with a locked air combo but hold off on the finishing attack so you can transition into a primary air combo. Once the enemy falls, use earth pound to allow a final air combo. -These sequences of attacks are a great way to deal damage to a single enemy, preferably larger enemies with a lot of health. Smaller enemies don't have enough health to withstand the amount of damage. Timing is imperative when transitioning from a locked air combo to a primary one while in the air. This method is a bit tricky to do. Ice Locked Air Combo Ice Tail Finisher -Using ice tail as a finishing attack during a locked air combo will cause an enemy to remain in the air, allowing for follow up attacks. Charged Ice Tail -The ice tail attack should be performed just as Spyro does an air horn dive. So timing is key. -The advantage of this method is that the forward momentum of the charge allows Spyro's ice tail attack to cover more (surface) area as he slides, potentially affecting more enemies than a regular ice tail attack. This method is also quite speedy, giving Spyro more opportunities for combos or combo chains. Tapping vs Charging Polar Bombs -Whether you tap or charge a polar bomb, enemies will always be frozen or slowed. Charging does not add extra damage and expends more mana; it only shoots further. So tapping polar bombs is more effective. Freezing Enemies To Get Into A Locked Air Combo -This is similar to using flame breath to stun enemies to get into a locked air combo except several enemies can be frozen from a polar bomb, allowing an opportunity for a knock up attack. Pushing/Melting Snowballs -Once an enemey turns into a snowball from a polar bomb, you can either push it into the void, or melt it, allowing for follow up attacks. Fire Pseudo Flame Breath -Even if you completely run out of magic, the effect of flame breath remains active. You can continue to stun enemies with flame breath by tapping the button. However, there is no damage output. So techincally you can't run out of fire. DONE Flame Breath During Primary/Locked Air Combo -Hold flame breath during a locked or primary air combo to build up extra damage to an enemy. Comet Dash While Using Flame Breath -Hold flame breath as you perform a comet dash to build up extra damage to an enemy. Comet Dash Transition Into Any Melee Option -You can use any melee option right after a comet dash as follow up attacks whether it be a knock-up attack, an air combo, or ground attacks. Melee Attack Jump Cancel -You can cancel either the first or second attack of Spyro's melee attack sequence by jumping. This is useful if you want to evade or reposition yourself better. Its also useful against enemies that block attacks. Enemies will block when they are under constant attack. #spyro #thelegendofspyro #spyrothedragon
