So, here's Frosini's most famous work as he would have liked us to play it. I know I'll never be able to play it this the staccato bellows shake at the end. This piece of “accordion history“ is from an album labeled “Pietro Frosini Original Recordings“ which were recorded between 1920-1935 This historic recording vividly shows his amazing virtuosity & playful style. Pietro Frosini was born in Catania, Sicily where he began the study of chromatic accordion at age six. However, since the accordion was at that time, not accepted as a major instrument, he undertook the study of piano, cornet, & other band instruments. At age 14, his remarkable talent on the cornet was recognized, & he was accepted as first chair cornetist in the British Naval Band at Malta.
